Anas Ibrahim al-Najjar was born into an artistic family. His father, Ibrahim Saleh Alnajar, is the director of activities at the Ministry of Education and Learning. He graduated from the Music Education College in 1973. Anas grew up loving music and art, and started playing the organ when his father was the owner of the only musical institute in the Gaza Strip at that time. He participated in a number of local and international festivals, and distributed a number of traditional and national songs at the institute. He was also a player in the Arab music band. He received his BA and majored in the zither.
