Joelle Boutros

Her research focus is labor movements in Lebanon, particularly in the 1970s 

Joelle Boutros is a historian who specializes in Lebanon’s history, and a member of the Legal Agenda team. Her research focus is labor movements in Lebanon, particularly in the 1970s (before the eruption of the civil war) and in the 1990s  (the state building stage). In her essays, Boutros deals with the systematic destruction of the public transportation sector in Lebanon and looting naval public property.
She is currently working on a project for enhancing the independence of the judiciary in Lebanon, and is currently conducting field research and interviews that aim at drawing a portrait about judicial authority after the war.

She is a member of the Socialist Forum and works on issues related to feminist and anti-racist struggles.

Nidal Ayoub is an activist and journalist based in Beirut. She has studied Theatre Arts at the Lebanese University and has worked in journalism since 2011. She is a member of the Socialist Forum and works on issues related to feminist and anti-racist struggles.
